Single Tooth Dental Implants

Seamlessly Re-complete Your Smile

Many individuals who are missing just one tooth opt not to replace it. They may not be willing to spend time and money on treatment because they can still chew comfortably. They might not even give a thought to aesthetics. However, even a single missing tooth can lead to serious consequences! Teeth are like books on a shelf; if you remove one, the others topple! That is to say, when one tooth goes missing, the ones next to it may drift out of place and eventually fall out altogether. The bone that once supported the tooth will also begin to deteriorate. Fortunately, Dr. Tamo, Dr. Marandi, Dr. Ash, and our team can help you prevent such issues with our single tooth replacement options.

Why Choose Dentistry @ 1881 for Single Tooth Replacement?

Single Tooth Replacement Options

dental bridge

There are two ways in which we can replace a single missing tooth:

Fixed bridge. A fixed bridge has two crowns, which fit over the teeth next to the gap (the abutment teeth). An artificial tooth “bridges” the empty space. Many patients opt for a fixed bridge because the treatment is relatively fast and affordable. A bridge can look quite natural, last for at least several years, and deliver a strong bite.

Single tooth implant. A dental implant is a small piece of titanium that replaces the root of a missing tooth. After it is placed in the jawbone in a minimally invasive surgery, it integrates with the tissue around it. Following that integration, Dr. Tamo, Dr. Marandi, or Dr. Ash designs and places a custom crown to go on top of the implant and replace the visible portion of the missing tooth.
