A Smile Makeover Made Just for You

Many actors seem to have impossibly perfect smiles, right? In many cases, those flawless pearly whites you’re seeing on the screen are the result of porcelain veneers, one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the world. Now, you can get the exact same procedure right here in Toronto from Dr. Tamo, Dr. Marandi, or Dr. Ash to ensure that no matter where you go, your teeth will always be red carpet-ready.

Why Choose Dentistry @ 1881 for Porcelain Veneers?

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers prior to placement

Porcelain veneers can provide something of a smile do-over and transform the teeth more dramatically compared to simply whitening them. They are thin coverings made of dental porcelain, and they can correct and enhance the size, shape, and overall visual effect of the teeth that show when you smile.

Porcelain veneers can correct…

One of the best parts about porcelain veneers is that they can mask numerous flaws at the same time, saving patients from having to get multiple procedures and attend several appointments.

What is the Procedure Like?

At Dentistry @ 1881, porcelain veneers are designed and placed over the course of two visits to our dental office. Local anesthetic is available for your complete comfort at each step of the veneer procedure.

The first appointment is reserved for treatment planning and the preparation of your teeth. This is a minimally-invasive procedure that requires the removal of a small amount of tooth enamel to make room for each veneer so it lies flat within the smile. We’ll scan your teeth to send to a lab, and temporary veneers will cover your prepared teeth in the time between appointments.

Once your permanent veneers are ready, we’ll schedule you for your second appointment. During it, after removing your temporaries, Dr. Tamo, Dr. Marandi, or Dr. Ash will check to make sure your new veneers look just like they should. After ensuring you are completely delighted, each veneer is securely placed.

Maintaining Your Veneers

When cared for properly, porcelain veneers can be expected to last for about 15-20 years. Here are a few tips to ensure they keep looking and functioning like new:

We also recommend coming to see us for regular checkups at least twice a year. That way, should we discover a minor issue with your veneers, we can quickly fix it before it turns into a major problem.
